I began painting wildlife, landscapes and figure painting using oils and watercolours in 1984.

My artistic heroes: 17th century Dutch painters, Winslow Homer, J.M.W. Turner and most of the Impressionists. 

 

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. My first

career was as an English Teacher. I taught English in Tonga, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia

and the United States.

 

Later in life I became a fly-fishing guide in the Florida Keys. I've lived and worked in: France, Argentina and New Zealand.

 

My home is now in Port Douglas surrounded

by the tropical beauty that is Far North Queensland, Australia.
